Der BMW 333i entstand in Zusammenarbeit mit Alpina für den südafrikanischen Markt, da eine rechtsgelenkte M3 Variante nicht verfügbar war. Insgesamt 210 Fahrzeuge wurden gebaut. Für den Rennsport gedacht war der BMW 325is. Motorhaube, Kotflügel und Türen waren aus Aluminium gefertigt. Unten sehen sie einen Nachbau des originalen Rennsportwagens (hier Basis: BMW 318i). Auch sehen Sie einen der sechs Prototypen eines 4-türigen BMW 325is. Die Idee wurde jedoch aufgrund des höhren Gewichtes verworfen. Der BMW 327is löste den BMW 325is ab. Leider habe ich den Wagen nicht entdecken können.

The result of a joint venture between BMW and Alpina was the BMW 333i. It was created, because a righthand drive BMW M3 wasn't available in South Africa. Totally 210 unists of the car were built. Especially for racing the BMW 325is was released. Bonnet, fenders and doors were made of light alloy. At the bottom of this page you see a replica of the originally racing car (based on BMW 318i). You'll also find one of six 4-door prototypes of BMW 325is. The idea was rejected, because of the higher weight. A BMW 327is replaced the BMW 325is. Unfortunately I couldn't discover this car.
